Quick answer

Ramadan greeting card design with your name takes about a minute in Vocla's image studio: choose Create, describe the card (a gold lantern, a crescent, geometric patterns), and put the greeting and your name in quotes, such as «رمضان كريم» and «عائلة الأحمد», so they render in correct Arabic. Pick 9:16 for stories or square for posts, then download it or turn it into a voiced video greeting.

01Ramadan greeting card design in one minute

On the first night of Ramadan, phones across the region fill with greeting cards. Most are the same forwarded images; very few carry the sender's name. A card with your name or your company's name stands out because it shows you made it for the people receiving it.

The old problem with AI image tools was the Arabic: ask for «رمضان كريم» and you got broken letters. In Vocla's image studio, anything you write between quotes is drawn letter for letter, so your greeting and your name come out exactly as typed. The process in short:

  1. 1Open Images and choose Create: from the sidebar of the Vocla web app.
  2. 2Describe the card: style, colours and elements, such as a gold lantern, a crescent and a navy background.
  3. 3Put the greeting and name in quotes: and say where each one sits on the card.
  4. 4Pick the shape: 9:16 for stories and statuses, 1:1 for posts and WhatsApp.
  5. 5Choose a quality and press Generate: ask for 2 to 4 options and keep the best.
  6. 6Download and share: or press Make it a video for a greeting with an Arabic voice.

02Which Ramadan greeting to put on the card

Choose the words before the lantern. A good card has one large main greeting, a small line for the name and, at most, a short blessing. Four phrases on one card shrink the text and make it harder to read. The common greetings, with their meaning and where they fit:

GreetingMeaningBest for
رمضان كريمRamadan Kareem, a generous RamadanEveryone; the classic headline
مبارك عليكم الشهرBlessed month to youGulf family, friends and customers; warm and personal
كل عام وأنتم بخيرMay you be well every yearFormal and corporate; works for Eid too
رمضان مباركRamadan MubarakEveryone; common in the Levant
تقبّل الله صيامكمMay God accept your fastingMid and late Ramadan; better as a second line
أهلًا رمضانWelcome, RamadanThe days before it starts; countdown posts
Modern Standard Arabic

نهنئكم بحلول شهر رمضان المبارك، أعاده الله علينا وعليكم بالخير

Gulf

مبارك عليكم الشهر، وعساكم من عوّاده

A simple rule: personal cards for family and friends feel warmer in dialect, and in the Gulf «مبارك عليكم الشهر» lands better than any formal phrasing. Company cards for clients and partners are safer in short Modern Standard Arabic, such as «كل عام وأنتم بخير» with the company name beneath.

Heads-up

Quoted text is drawn literally, so check spelling before generating. If you don't read Arabic, copy the greeting from the table above and have an Arabic speaker check your name line. Any typo in the prompt appears on the card.

03Lantern, crescent, geometric or calligraphy

Four styles keep coming back because they work. Pick by who receives the card:

StyleSuitsWords to add to the prompt
Glowing lanternsFamily, kids and shopsGlowing brass lanterns, warm light, night
Crescent over minaretsFormal and corporate cardsThin gold crescent, navy sky, distant minarets
Islamic geometric patternPremium brandsGold geometric pattern, symmetry, plain background
Calligraphy onlyMinimal, elegant designsGold thuluth calligraphy, empty space, ivory background

Full prompts to copy, then swap the name and colours. Every piece of text that appears on the card is in quotes, with its position:

04Placing your name or company logo

The name is what turns a generic picture into a card from you. Give it its own quoted line and say where and how big: «small text at the bottom» or «directly under the greeting». A name smaller than the greeting looks balanced; a name as large as the headline competes with it.

  • Personal: «من عائلة الأحمد» (from the Al Ahmad family), or just your first name.
  • Company: the registered company name, with no other brands' marks.
  • Team: «فريق التسويق» (the marketing team) adds a personal touch for clients.
  • Hours and numbers: if you add Ramadan opening hours, type them exactly as they should appear.

For the logo itself there are two routes. First, design the card with empty space at the bottom and place your real logo file on top in any design tool; this is the only way to guarantee an exact match. Second, on Creator and above, upload the logo as a reference photo in Edit and ask for it in a specific spot, then check its shape and colours, because fine logo details can shift.

05Sizes and quality: story, post, WhatsApp, print

Generate each size separately instead of cropping one card, so the lantern and greeting never get cut off. Pick the shape before pressing Generate:

Vox Image is the balanced choice for most cards at 400 credits per image at 1K. With three or more lines of text, Pro at 650 credits handles long text best. To test ideas quickly, use Lite at 120 credits and regenerate the final card at a higher quality. Failed images are refunded.

06Company cards for customers and staff

For businesses, a Ramadan card is a relationship touchpoint, not a sales ad. Send it to your WhatsApp customer list, post it on your accounts and share an internal version with staff. A practical plan:

  1. 1One formal card: a crescent or pattern in brand colours, «كل عام وأنتم بخير» and the company name.
  2. 2Three sizes of it: story, square and wide, from the same prompt.
  3. 3A staff card: warmer in tone, «مبارك عليكم الشهر يا فريقنا» (blessed month to you, team).
  4. 4An opening-hours card: a simple design with Ramadan hours in quotes.
  5. 5Offers separately: if you run Ramadan promotions, keep them out of the greeting.

What does it cost? Ten cards with Vox Image at 1K come to about 4,000 credits, well within Creator's 15,000 monthly credits with room left for voice and video. Starter's 5,000 credits cover about 12 cards at that quality, or about 40 Lite drafts.

Timing matters as much as design. A card that arrives right after the moon-sighting announcement, or on the first morning, gets read and saved; one that arrives on day five gets lost. Prepare cards a week before the expected date, with two versions: «رمضان كريم» for the announcement night and «تقبّل الله صيامكم» for the last ten nights, followed by your Eid card.

07Turn the card into a voiced video greeting

A still card is lovely; a short greeting with a warm voice stands out more in stories. Press Make it a video on the card to open Vocla Video, write the greeting and pick a voice in your audience's dialect. On current plans, video from a photo starts on Starter. Short scripts to copy:

Frequently asked questions

How do I put my name on a Ramadan card with AI?

Type the name in quotes in your prompt, such as «من عائلة الأحمد», and say where it goes, for example «small text at the bottom». It is drawn letter for letter in correct Arabic.

What size should a Ramadan card be for WhatsApp?

Square 1:1 or portrait 4:5 for messages and posts, and 9:16 for WhatsApp status and stories. Generate each size separately so the text isn't cropped.

When does Ramadan 2027 start?

Astronomers expect it around 8 February 2027, with the official date announced after the moon sighting. Have your cards ready about a week before.
