Ramadan Ad Voiceover for 2027: Tone, Ready-to-Use Dialect Scripts and When to Air Them
How to write and time a Ramadan ad voiceover: the right tone, a 30-second structure, copy-ready scripts in six Arabic dialects and a production timeline.
In this article
A strong Ramadan ad voiceover is warm and unhurried: generosity, family and good intentions, not a shouted sale. Write 20 to 30 seconds in your audience's dialect: a short greeting, a familiar scene, the offer, a clear call to action. Air delivery offers before iftar, greetings in the evening and suhoor offers late at night, and start production at least six weeks before Ramadan 2027, expected around 8 February.
01The right tone: warmth, not volume
Ramadan isn't just another sale season. People are fasting, spending more time with family, and quick to notice an ad that feels like it is exploiting the month. A spot that shouts “sale, sale, sale” in an excited announcer voice sounds like an intruder at the iftar table. One that opens with a sincere greeting and talks about family and generosity gets invited in.
- Pace: a little slower than your usual ads, with pauses that let lines breathe.
- Voice: warm and close, like a member of the family rather than a sales announcer.
- Themes: generosity, family, neighbours, giving, time with the people you love.
- Offer: present and clear, but after the greeting, never before it.
- Music: oud, qanun or light percussion under the voice; no pounding beats.
بمناسبة حلول شهر رمضان المبارك، نقدم لكم عروضًا مميزة على وجبات الإفطار.
مبارك عليكم الشهر. ولأن السفرة ما تحلى إلا باللمّة، جهّزنا لكم عروض إفطار تكفي العيلة كلها.
The MSA line says “on the arrival of Ramadan we offer special iftar deals”. The Saudi line opens with the greeting people actually exchange, “blessed month to you”, then ties the offer to a picture every household knows: “the table is only sweet when everyone's around it”. That small shift is the difference between an ad people hear and one they skip.
Treat religious language with care. Don't use Quranic verses, hadith or supplications in a sales or comedic context, don't tie an offer directly to worship, and never claim you donate a share of sales unless it is true and documented. Have someone who understands your market's religious sensitivities review the script.
02A 30-second Ramadan ad structure
Good Ramadan spots follow a fairly fixed shape. Thirty seconds is roughly 500 Arabic characters, or 60 to 75 words depending on the voice's pace. Use this split as a starting point:
| Seconds | Part | What it says |
|---|---|---|
| 0 to 4 | Greeting | “Mubarak alaykum al-shahr” or “Ramadan Kareem”, in the audience's dialect |
| 4 to 12 | The scene | Something everyone recognises: the iftar table, family, late evenings, suhoor |
| 12 to 22 | The offer | What, how much and until when, in one or two sentences |
| 22 to 27 | Call to action | Order in the app, book, visit us |
| 27 to 30 | Sign-off | Brand name and a short wish such as “kul aam wa antum bikhair” |
Leave two seconds without speech at the start or the end for the music. A Ramadan spot that opens on a short oud phrase settles the listener before the offer arrives.
To check the length before you generate anything, paste the script into the voiceover length calculator, pick the dialect and pace, and see how many seconds it will run.

04Timing: when will your Ramadan ad be heard?
The Ramadan day reshapes your audience's routine. We won't quote viewing statistics we can't verify; use your own account and campaign data from last Ramadan for exact hours. The shape of the day, though, is well known, and each part suits a different message:
| Time of day | What your audience is doing | Best message |
|---|---|---|
| Afternoon, before iftar | Preparing the meal, driving home | Iftar orders and delivery, in a short, clear voice spot |
| Iftar itself | At the table with family | Almost nothing; let people eat |
| After taraweeh, late evening | Scrolling, visiting, watching series | Greetings, stories, Reels and Snapchat videos |
| Before suhoor | Up late and a little hungry | Suhoor delivery and quick orders |
| Last ten nights | Eid shopping and giving | Eid outfits and gifts, zakat and charity appeals |
Radio voice spots suit the hour before iftar, when many people are in the car. Vertical video with burned-in Arabic captions suits the evening, when people scroll, often with the sound off. So prepare the same idea in both formats.
Don't schedule a spot ending in “order now” five minutes before the call to prayer; the food won't arrive before iftar and listeners know it. Put the order cut-off time in the script.
05Production timeline: start six weeks before Ramadan 2027
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around Monday 8 February on astronomical estimates, with the official date set by the moon sighting. Count back from there and keep two days of slack:
- 1Six weeks out: write the brief and master script; decide countries, dialects and offers.
- 2Five weeks out: rewrite the script for each dialect and audition three voices per dialect in the dialect picker on the Text to speech screen.
- 3Four weeks out: add brand and product names to the pronunciation dictionary and generate the campaign's music in Music.
- 4Three weeks out: build 9:16 videos in the Video studio and approve the storyboard before rendering.
- 5Two weeks out: final sign-off, plus 6, 15 and 30-second cuts.
- 6One week out: schedule posts, prepare the Ramadan hours message for your phone line, and finish the Eid greeting.
On cost: a 30-second voice spot is about 600 credits on Vox Prime, and three dialects about 1,800, inside Starter at $4.99 a month for 5,000 credits with commercial rights. Video is billed per second: 15 seconds on Lite is 2,250 credits and on Standard 6,000, before the voiceover and music. Starter includes 30 video seconds a month, up to 15 seconds per video in 720p with a watermark. For several unwatermarked videos, Professional at $29 gives 80,000 credits and 300 video seconds a month in 1080p.

A customer who hears your ad and calls hears your IVR first. If it still says “9 a.m. to 5 p.m.” after your hours have changed, the ad's work is wasted. Prepare a separate Ramadan hours file in the same voice, swap it in on day one and switch back after Eid:
حياك الله في [اسم الشركة]، ومبارك عليك الشهر.
دوامنا في رمضان من عشر الصبح لين ثلاث العصر، ومن تسع الليل لين وحدة بالليل.
وتقدر تطلب من التطبيق في أي وقت.Welcome to [company], and blessed month to you. Our Ramadan hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. You can order in the app at any time.
Generate it in Vocla, convert it to 8 kHz mono WAV and upload it to your phone system. The full process, with greeting scripts in every dialect, is in our call centre greeting guide.
07Ramadan is part of a bigger calendar
Ramadan 2027 has occasions inside it: Saudi Founding Day on 22 February and Kuwait's National and Liberation Days on 25 and 26 February all fall around mid-month, followed by Eid al-Fitr, expected around 9 or 10 March. Plan them as one connected campaign with the same voice and music, and see the full seasonal calendar for the rest of the year.
Ramadan 2027 and Eid al-Fitr dates are approximate, based on astronomical estimates reported by Khaleej Times and The National in August and September 2026; official dates follow the crescent sighting and can differ by a day between countries, as of October 2026. Names in square brackets are placeholders. Vocla prices and credit rates reflect current plans and may change; the quote shown before each generation is the exact figure.
Key takeaways
- Open with a sincere greeting, then a scene from home, then the offer, at a warmer and slower pace than your usual ads.
- Write each version natively in its dialect rather than translating from MSA, and handle religious language with care.
- Match messages to the fasting day: orders before iftar, greetings in the evening, delivery before suhoor, Eid in the last ten nights.
- Start production six weeks before Ramadan, expected around 8 February 2027, and update your IVR with Ramadan hours.
Frequently asked questions
How long should a Ramadan ad be?
Thirty seconds for radio and YouTube, fifteen for Reels, TikTok and Snapchat, six for Stories. Thirty seconds is roughly 500 Arabic characters, so write to that and leave room for pauses.
Should a Ramadan ad be in MSA or a dialect?
Dialect suits restaurants, shops and delivery brands because it sounds like home. Simple MSA suits charities, official bodies and campaigns aimed at several countries at once.
What time of day should Ramadan ads run?
Iftar orders well before the call to prayer so delivery is realistic, greetings and stories in the evening after taraweeh, and suhoor offers late at night. Check last Ramadan's campaign data to fine-tune the hours for your audience.
When should I start producing Ramadan 2027 ads?
At least six weeks before the month. Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February, so start scripting in late December 2026 and keep a couple of days of slack, since the official start depends on the moon sighting.
Can I use an AI voice in a commercial Ramadan ad?
Yes, on a paid plan: commercial rights start with Starter at $4.99 a month. The Free plan is for testing only and can't be used for a published ad.
