What is Syrian Arabic text to speech?
Syrian Arabic, and the Damascene dialect above all, is one of the most widely understood Levantine dialects thanks to decades of Syrian TV drama and dubbing. Brands, YouTube channels and storytellers choose it for its warm, clear delivery.
Like other Levantine dialects, it turns qaf into a glottal stop, as in «قلّي» said «ألّي». Its words include «هلّق», «شو», «كتير», «منيح», «بدّي», «لك» and «عنجد». Choosing Syrian in Vocla steers the voice to a Damascene accent rather than MSA or Lebanese.
Tips for writing in Syrian Arabic
Write «هلّق», «بدّي» and «عنجد» as you say them, not their MSA equivalents.
Syrian and Lebanese are close but not the same: choose Syrian in the dialect menu for a Damascene accent.
For stories and drama-style clips, raise expressiveness a little and keep sentences short.
