Acceptable Use Policy
Effective September 21, 2026Last updated September 21, 2026Version 1.0
This policy is provided in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
Synthetic voices are powerful. This policy sets out what you may not do with Vocla, so that everyone — including the people whose voices and words appear in audio — stays safe. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all inputs, outputs, voice designs, share links and API use.
Who we are
Vocla is operated by an individual (sole proprietor), not a registered company.
Contact: support@vocla.ai (support, billing and refunds) · privacy@vocla.ai (personal data) · legal@vocla.ai (legal notices).
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record: Dodo Payments sells subscriptions and credits to you, charges your payment method, and handles billing, sales tax/VAT and invoices. Your card details are never shared with us.
Operator details (full legal name, country of residence and postal address) will be published here before launch.
1. Impersonation and deceptive voices
- Creating audio that imitates, or claims to be, an identifiable real person without their express, documented consent.
- Deepfakes of public figures — politicians, officials, royals, religious leaders, celebrities, journalists or executives — even when presented as satire, without their authorisation.
- Presenting synthetic audio as a genuine recording of a real person or event in a way that could mislead or harm others.
- Removing or hiding labels that identify content as AI-generated where the law or the publishing platform requires them.
2. Fraud, scams and security bypass
- Scams, phishing and “vishing” — for example fake calls from banks, government agencies, employers or family members.
- Attempting to defeat voice-based authentication or identity verification.
- Fake reviews, testimonials or endorsements, and false claims about products or people.
3. Harassment, hate and violence
- Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation or doxxing of any person.
- Content that promotes hatred or discrimination against people based on religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, gender, disability or similar characteristics.
- Content that promotes or glorifies terrorism, violent extremism, or self-harm.
4. Sexual content and minors
- Any sexual content involving minors. We have zero tolerance: accounts are terminated and we report to the relevant authorities.
- Sexually explicit or pornographic content, and non-consensual intimate content of any person.
- Content that targets, sexualises or exploits children, or that is designed to groom or deceive them.
5. Elections and civic processes
- Misinformation about elections, referendums or voting — such as false dates, places or eligibility rules.
- Impersonating candidates, parties, election officials or public authorities.
- Political campaigning or lobbying through automated calls or messages.
6. Spam and automated calls
- Robocalls or automated voice messages to people who have not agreed to receive them, or in breach of telemarketing and communications laws.
- Bulk unsolicited messages, voice notes or voicemails.
7. Malware and abuse of the platform
- Uploading malware or using Vocla to create or distribute it.
- Probing, scanning or attacking our systems, or bypassing rate limits, credit metering, moderation or access controls.
- Scraping, reverse engineering or extracting models, voices or data; using the Service to train a competing model.
- Creating multiple accounts to obtain extra free credits or refunds, or sharing or reselling accounts and API keys.
8. Other people's rights and the law
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights — for example uploading songs, lyrics, audiobooks or recordings you do not have the right to use.
- Recording or uploading people's voices without their knowledge where the law requires consent, or otherwise violating privacy.
- Anything illegal where you or your audience are located, including promoting illegal goods or services.
9. How we enforce this policy
We check text automatically before generation, block known abusive patterns, apply rate limits and review reports and flagged content. If we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, we may — depending on severity — block the request, remove content or share links, disable a voice design, limit features, suspend or terminate the account without refund, and report illegal activity to the authorities. We preserve relevant records where the law requires.
If you think we made a mistake, reply to our notice or write to legal@vocla.ai and we will review it.
10. Reporting abuse
If you believe Vocla has been used to imitate your voice or someone else's, to deceive, or to break this policy, email legal@vocla.ai with:
- a link to the content or share link (vocla.ai/s/…), or the audio file;
- what is wrong and, if it concerns you, how we can confirm your identity; and
- your contact details.
Please put “URGENT” in the subject for anything involving a risk to a child or someone's safety. We acknowledge reports within two business days and act on urgent cases as quickly as possible.
