Quick answer

AI ad design in Vocla takes minutes: pick the Poster & ad preset on the Images page, describe the product and mood, put your headline «in quotes» so it is written in Arabic letter for letter, and choose the shape for the platform: 9:16 for stories, 4:5 or 1:1 for feed posts. Short headlines render cleanest, and the studio starts on Starter at $4.99.

01Before you design: what a working ad needs

Most small-business ads don't fail on design. They fail because they try to say everything at once: the shop name, five products, prices, a phone number, the location and every social handle. On Snapchat or Instagram you get a second, maybe two. Before you open any tool, answer five questions:

  1. 1The offer: what exactly are you selling today? One offer, like a shawarma meal and drink for 25 riyals.
  2. 2The headline: two to five words that sum up the offer. This is what stops the scroll.
  3. 3Supporting line: optional and short, such as “until Saturday” or “free delivery”.
  4. 4Call to action: order now, book, visit us. One or two words.
  5. 5The visual: the product or mood that creates desire, like a steaming dish or a perfume in dramatic light.

Once you know those five, the prompt writes itself: describe the image, put the headline in quotes, and say where it goes and what colour it is. The studio does the rest. For a tour of every studio mode, start with the full guide:

02Quote the headline: the trick behind correct Arabic in ads

The classic problem with AI ads in Arabic has always been the lettering: broken words, disconnected letters, text running left to right. In Vocla the fix is simple. Anything you write «in quotes» is drawn into the image letter for letter, joined letters and numbers included, and the quote marks themselves don't appear.

  • Keep it short: two to five words render far more cleanly than a long sentence and read on a phone.
  • Say where and what colour: “at the top in bold white” or “centred in gold”.
  • One or two pieces of text, maximum: a headline and a supporting line. Not ten lines.
  • Long text goes to Pro: if the ad needs more than two lines, choose Vox Image Pro, the best at lettering.
  • Proof every character: results are usually exact, but the price and phone number matter most, so check them.
Generic vs specificEnglish · en
Generic: A restaurant ad with the title «عرض خاص». Specific: An ad for a burger restaurant, a cheeseburger with melting cheese under warm light, a bold white headline at the top «عرض الويكند» and a yellow line below «اثنين بسعر واحد».

03The right ad size for each platform

Pick the shape before you create, because cropping a finished design later can slice through the headline. Choose it under Shape, or start from a preset that sets it for you:

Where it runsShapeStudio preset
Snapchat and Instagram stories, Reels, TikTok9:16 (Story)Story & Reels
Instagram feed post4:5 (Portrait) or 1:1 (Square)Instagram post
X post or a wide banner16:9 (Wide)Freestyle
Printed poster or in-store sign2:3 (Poster)Poster & ad
YouTube thumbnail16:9YouTube thumbnail

If the campaign runs on several platforms, don't design each size from scratch with a different prompt. Keep the same description, headline and colours, and change only the shape between 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1. Name your brand colours every time, such as “navy and gold”, so the ads look like one family and customers recognise you before they read your name.

Tip

In stories, keep the top and bottom of the frame calm, because the account name and reply bar cover them. Ask for it directly: “put the headline in the middle third of the image”. You can make 1 to 4 images per run to compare options.

04Ready ad prompts: restaurant, perfume, abaya store, real estate

Copy a prompt and swap in your own name, offer and price. Each one is written for the Poster & ad or Story & Reels preset. The Arabic in quotes is what appears on the ad:

RestaurantEnglish · en
An ad for a mandi restaurant: a large platter of lamb mandi on a floor spread, steam rising, warm light, a traditional majlis softly blurred behind. Bold white headline at the top «مندي الجمعة», a yellow line below «صحن عائلي بـ99 ريال», and a red button at the bottom reading «اطلب الآن».
PerfumeEnglish · en
A luxury ad for an oud perfume: a black bottle with gold engraving on a dark rock, light incense smoke around it, dramatic side light. At the top in elegant gold Arabic calligraphy «سر العود», at the bottom «خصم 20% لفترة محدودة».
Abaya storeEnglish · en
An ad for an abaya boutique: a black abaya with fine gold embroidery hanging in a store with warm beige light, high-end fashion photography, no model. At the top «تشكيلة الشتاء» in thin white type, at the bottom «اطلبيها من المتجر».
Real estateEnglish · en
A real estate ad for a modern villa: white facade with warm evening lighting, a pool in front, deep blue sky. White headline at the top «فيلا في شمال الرياض», below it «4 غرف، مسبح خاص», and at the bottom «احجز معاينتك».
Heads-up

For property and products, a generated image is an illustration, not a photo of that villa or item. When the ad is for a specific listing, edit its real photos or label the image as illustrative, so buyers don't feel misled.

05Have a product photo? Design the ad on top of it

A real photo of your product or dish beats any generated image, because it is what the customer actually receives. Use the Edit tab: upload the photo and write one sentence that adds the headline and the mood while the product stays as it is. Editing starts on the Creator plan.

Ad on a real photoEnglish · en
Change the background to white marble by a sunny window and keep the product and label as they are. Add a bold navy headline at the top «وصل حديثًا» and «التوصيل مجاني» at the bottom.

If the background is too busy, run Remove background first to get the product alone on a transparent PNG (300 credits), then design around it. You can also add the product as a reference photo in Create and let the studio build a whole new scene around it.

06From poster to video ad with an Arabic voice

Static images work in the feed, but Reels, TikTok and Snapchat stories reward motion and sound. Once you like the poster, press Make it a video and choose Video ad: Vocla reads your image and writes a short script in your dialect, Saudi, Emirati, Kuwaiti or Egyptian, voices it in Arabic and adds captions and music, with your image as the first frame of every scene. On current plans this starts with Starter.

جمعتك ما تكمل بدون مندي! صحن عائلي لحم طازج، رزّه مبهّر وريحته تفتح النفس. اطلبه الحين بـ99 ريال، ويوصلك حار.

Your Friday isn't complete without mandi! A family platter of fresh lamb, spiced rice that smells amazing. Order now for 99 riyals and it arrives hot.

For a full product ad with several scenes and ready-made styles, use the Ad maker: upload up to four photos and it reads the product, writes the script in your dialect with your offer, voices it and builds every scene from your photos.

07Common ad design mistakes, and what it costs

  • A long headline: twelve words shrink and crowd the design. Cut to five or fewer.
  • Too many offers: one ad, one offer. Three offers means three ads.
  • Ignoring the size: a square poster in a story leaves gaps or crops the headline.
  • Other people's brands: don't ask for a famous logo or a known person in your ad.
  • Skipping the proofread: a wrong price in a live ad costs more than a minute of checking.

Cost: Vox Image Lite is 120 credits for quick drafts, Vox Image 400 at 1K, and Vox Image Pro 650, the best for text-heavy ads. Starter at $4.99 (5,000 credits) covers about 12 Vox Image ads or 7 Pro ads and includes commercial rights. If you post daily, Creator at $13.99 has 15,000 credits plus editing. Credits are shared with voice and video, and failed images are refunded.

Tip

Test two headlines instead of betting on one. Make 2 to 4 images in one run with different headlines, show both to a small audience, then keep the winner. “30% off” and “buy one, get one free” can perform very differently on the same product.

Names and prices in the prompts are examples. Credit rates and plans are current settings as of October 2026 and may change; the exact price shows in the studio before you create. Prices show in local currency and are charged in USD.

Key takeaways

  • One ad, one offer: a short headline, a supporting line, a call to action and a visual that creates desire.

  • Choose the shape before you create: 9:16 for stories, 4:5 or 1:1 for feed, 16:9 for wide.
  • Turn the poster into a voiced Arabic video ad with Make it a video, from Starter.

Frequently asked questions

How do I design an ad for my business with AI?

Open the Images page in Vocla, pick the Poster & ad or Story & Reels preset, and describe the product and mood with your headline in quotes. Press Create, compare the versions and download the best one.

Can AI write Arabic correctly on an ad?

In Vocla, yes: text in quotes is written letter for letter with joined letters and numbers. Short headlines come out cleanest, Vox Image Pro handles long text best, and you should still proofread prices and numbers.

What size should a Snapchat or Instagram ad be?

Use 9:16 for Snapchat and Instagram stories and 4:5 or 1:1 for Instagram feed posts. Choose the shape before you create so the headline isn't cropped later.

Can I use AI-designed ads commercially?

Yes. Images made on paid plans from Starter up include commercial rights for ads and stores. Avoid other brands' logos and real people's likeness without their consent.

Can I turn the ad into a video with a voiceover?

Yes. Press Make it a video on the image and Vocla writes a short script in your dialect, voices it in Arabic and adds captions and music. On current plans this starts with Starter.
