Gulf Marketing Calendar 2027: Every Season, When to Start, and the Voice and Video Assets You Need
Every Gulf marketing season from White Friday 2026 to Saudi National Day 2027, with approximate Ramadan and Eid dates, lead times and assets to prepare.
In this article
The Gulf marketing calendar 2027 runs from White Friday (27 November 2026) and the Omani, UAE, Bahraini and Qatari national days in November and December, into Ramadan, expected to begin around 8 February 2027, Eid al-Fitr around 9 or 10 March, Eid al-Adha around 16 or 17 May, back to school in late August, and Saudi National Day on 23 September. Start production three to eight weeks ahead of each.
01The Gulf marketing calendar 2027 at a glance
Marketing in the Gulf is not one big season, it is a chain of them: year-end sales, then a run of national days, then Ramadan and Eid, then summer and back to school, then Saudi National Day. Most teams remember each one about a week too late, and it shows: rushed ads, a generic voice, a dialect that doesn't match the audience. This calendar lays out every major season from now to the end of 2027, when to start, and what to produce.
| Season | Date | Market | Start preparing |
|---|---|---|---|
| White Friday | Friday 27 November 2026; sales usually run for days either side | GCC and Egypt | 3 weeks ahead |
| Oman National Day | 20 and 21 November 2026 | Oman | 3 weeks ahead |
| UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad) | 2 December 2026 | UAE | 4 weeks ahead |
| Bahrain National Day | 16 December 2026 | Bahrain | 3 weeks ahead |
| Qatar National Day | 18 December 2026 | Qatar | 3 weeks ahead |
| Ramadan | Expected to begin around Monday 8 February 2027 (moon sighting) | All Arab markets | 6 to 8 weeks ahead |
| Saudi Founding Day | 22 February 2027, roughly mid-Ramadan | Saudi Arabia | 4 weeks, inside the Ramadan plan |
| Kuwait National and Liberation Days | 25 and 26 February 2027, inside Ramadan | Kuwait | 4 weeks, inside the Ramadan plan |
| Eid al-Fitr | Around 9 or 10 March 2027 (moon sighting) | All Arab markets | With the Ramadan campaign |
| Eid al-Adha | Around 16 or 17 May 2027 (moon sighting) | All Arab markets | 4 weeks ahead |
| Back to school | Late August 2027; confirm with the ministry calendar | Saudi Arabia and the GCC | 4 weeks ahead |
| Saudi National Day | 23 September 2027 | Saudi Arabia | 4 to 6 weeks ahead |
Hijri-based dates for 2027 (Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha) are approximate, based on astronomical estimates reported by Khaleej Times and The National in August and September 2026. Official dates are announced after the crescent is sighted and can differ by a day between countries, as of October 2026. Oman's National Day dates follow Royal Decree 15/2025; Saudi Arabia's 2026–27 school year began on 23 August 2026 per the Ministry of Education calendar.
Never print the first day of Ramadan or Eid in an ad or phone message before it is officially announced. Say “this Ramadan” or “throughout Eid”, and if a date is essential, prepare two versions and generate the right one after the announcement.
02Q4 2026: White Friday and four national days
November and December are the most crowded weeks of the year. White Friday, the region's Black Friday, is a pure price season: shoppers want the discount, the deadline and where to buy, so the voiceover should be short and direct. Days later the national days begin and the tone flips completely. Now it is pride, belonging and a sincere greeting, with the offer quietly in the background.

The most common mistake is running one campaign, in one voice, across every country. A UAE National Day greeting lands far better in an Emirati voice using the words Emiratis actually use:
عيد اتحاد سعيد يا دارنا.
من [اسم المتجر] لكل بيت في الإمارات، كل عام وانتو بخير.
وبهالمناسبة عندنا عروض وايد حلوة طول الأسبوع، مرّونا.Happy Eid Al Etihad to our homeland. From [store] to every home in the UAE, many happy returns. To celebrate we have lots of great offers all week, come and see us.
For Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, be aware that Vocla doesn't currently offer separate Qatari, Bahraini or Omani voices. The practical route is a Gulf voice reading a script built from shared Gulf vocabulary, checked by a native speaker from that country before it goes live. White Friday sales aimed at the whole GCC can usually run on one neutral Gulf voice.
03Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2027: one campaign, three phases
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around Monday 8 February, with Eid al-Fitr around 9 or 10 March; the moon sighting decides. It is the biggest advertising season of the year, and it is easier to plan as three phases than as one long flight:
- Before Ramadan: the last two weeks of Sha'ban, for welcoming the month, grocery stock-ups and getting the home ready.
- During Ramadan: iftar, suhoor and evening messages, plus giving and charity, all in a calm, warm register.
- Last ten nights and pre-Eid: Eid outfits, gifts and sweets, then the Eid greeting itself on the night it is announced.
2027 has a wrinkle many plans will miss: Saudi Founding Day (22 February) and Kuwait's National and Liberation Days (25 and 26 February) all fall in the middle of Ramadan. Those campaigns need a Ramadan sensibility: less noise, softer music, and posting in the evening after iftar rather than at midday. Plan them inside your Ramadan campaign from day one, not as a last-minute add-on.
بمناسبة يوم التأسيس وشهر رمضان المبارك، نتمنى لكم أيامًا عامرة بالخير والفخر.
يوم التأسيس جانا في رمضان، والفرحة صارت فرحتين. كل عام وأنتم بخير، وعساكم من عوّاده.
Both lines greet Founding Day during Ramadan. The MSA version reads like a press release; the Saudi one says “Founding Day came to us in Ramadan, so the joy is doubled”, which is how people actually talk at the iftar table.
Finish the Eid greeting before Ramadan starts, not in its last week. Design and editing teams are swamped during the last ten nights, and an Eid video that misses Eid eve loses most of its value.
04Eid al-Adha, summer and back to school
Eid al-Adha 2027 is expected around 16 or 17 May, depending on the Dhul Hijjah crescent, with the Day of Arafah the day before. It is a shorter ad season than Eid al-Fitr but strong for specific sectors: sacrifice services, restaurants, travel and gifting. Keep the tone a family greeting. If you use AI-generated scenes, avoid depicting Hajj rites or the sacrifice itself, since video models can get those details wrong; family gatherings, tables and majlis scenes are the safe choice.
Summer brings travel and clearance offers, then back to school in late August. Saudi Arabia's 2026–27 school year began on 23 August 2026; the 2027–28 start date has not been announced yet, so check the Ministry of Education calendar before you commit media budget. Back-to-school ads speak to parents: calm, practical, naming the list, the price and the delivery.

Summer is a good moment to refresh your whole phone menu: summer hours, any new branch, the holiday message. With the script saved as text, each update is one edited line and one new file.
05Saudi National Day 2027: start six weeks out
Saudi National Day falls on 23 September 2027, a fixed Gregorian date, so you can plan it precisely now. Competition for attention that week is intense, and Saudi audiences hear the difference between a native Saudi voice and a generic one reading a translated script within a sentence. Pick a Saudi voice in the dialect picker, write the greeting the way people speak rather than in official-statement Arabic, and keep the offer for the end.
يومنا الوطني، يوم نفتخر فيه بديرتنا وناسها.
من [اسم الشركة]، كل عام والسعودية بخير.
وبهالمناسبة، عروضنا تبدأ الحين لين نهاية الأسبوع.Our National Day, the day we're proud of our homeland and its people. From [company], happy National Day, Saudi Arabia. To celebrate, our offers start now and run until the end of the week.
A habit worth keeping for every season: cut three lengths of the same ad, 6, 15 and 30 seconds. Six for Stories and bumpers, fifteen for Reels, TikTok and Snapchat, thirty for radio and YouTube. Same voice, same music bed in all three, so people recognise the campaign from the first second.
06What to prepare for each season, and what it costs
Whatever the season, the same assets come up. Produce them as one set in one voice so the campaign sounds consistent on radio, social and the phone line. Figures below are estimates, assuming roughly 1,000 characters per spoken minute:
| Asset | Length | Where it runs | Approx. Vocla cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Voice spot, one dialect | 30 seconds, about 500 characters | Radio, YouTube, Snapchat | 600 credits on Vox Prime |
| Same spot in three dialects | 3 × 30 seconds | e.g. Saudi, Emirati, Kuwaiti | 1,800 credits |
| Vertical 9:16 video | 15 seconds | Reels, TikTok, Shorts | 2,250 credits on Lite or 6,000 on Standard, plus voiceover |
| Seasonal IVR message | About 300 characters | Holiday or special hours | 360 credits on Vox Prime |
| Music bed | Length of the ad | Under the voice in every asset | 120 credits as a bed inside a video project |
Starter costs $4.99 a month for 5,000 credits with commercial rights and WAV export, enough for voice spots in several dialects plus your IVR updates. It also includes 30 seconds of video a month, up to 15 seconds per video, 720p, 9:16, with a watermark; note that one 15-second Lite video uses 2,250 credits, close to half of Starter's monthly balance. For more video, 16:9 or 1:1 formats, or no watermark, Professional at $29 gives 80,000 credits and 300 video seconds a month, up to 60 seconds per video in 1080p.
The Free plan is for testing and has no commercial rights, so never publish a seasonal ad from it. Audition voices and dialects there, then generate the final versions on a paid plan.
07A repeatable seasonal workflow in Vocla
- 1Write one master script: simple MSA or the dialect of your largest market, with the greeting, the offer and the call to action.
- 2Rewrite it per dialect: don't translate word for word; rewrite each line the way people say it, then pick the voice in the dialect picker on the Text to speech screen.
- 3Lock pronunciation: add your brand and product names to the pronunciation dictionary once, so every version says them the same way.
- 4Generate the music: describe it in Music, for example “calm oud and light percussion for a Ramadan ad”, and reuse the same track everywhere.
- 5Make the video: paste the script into the Video studio, review the scene plan, approve the storyboard before rendering; Arabic captions are burned in for you.
- 6Prepare the phone message: generate the hours or holiday prompt in the same voice, convert to 8 kHz mono WAV and upload it the day before.
- 7Save everything for next year: scripts and settings stay in your workspace, so next season starts from an edit, not a blank page.
The bottom line: Gulf seasons are predictable, and the only surprise is a team that didn't plan. Lock in the fixed Gregorian dates first, since they are certain, and leave a day or two of slack around every Hijri date.
For every season with a product offer, the Ad maker shortens production: the product photo, an ad style and a seasonal look (Ramadan, Eid or White Friday), and the ad comes out with a voice, dialect, captions and music in minutes.

- Q4 2026 stacks White Friday with the Omani, UAE, Bahraini and Qatari national days, so start production in early November.
- Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February, and Saudi Founding Day and Kuwait's national days fall inside it: write them in a Ramadan tone.
- Every Hijri date is approximate until the crescent is sighted; don't print it in an ad before the official announcement.
- For each season produce one set in one voice: dialect spots, a 9:16 video, an IVR message and a music bed.
Frequently asked questions
When does Ramadan 2027 start?
Astronomical estimates put the start of Ramadan 2027 around Monday 8 February. The official date is announced after the crescent is sighted and can differ by a day between countries, so plan around it but don't print it in ads until it is confirmed.
How early should I prepare a Ramadan campaign?
Six to eight weeks before, which means mid-December 2026 to early January 2027. That leaves time for scripts in each dialect and video, and gets your Eid greeting done before the last ten nights get busy.
Does Saudi Founding Day fall in Ramadan in 2027?
Yes, approximately. Founding Day is on 22 February and Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February, putting it mid-month. Kuwait's National and Liberation Days on 25 and 26 February fall in Ramadan too, so keep those campaigns calm and post in the evening.
Can one Gulf voice cover every GCC country?
For region-wide sales, yes, if the script uses shared Gulf vocabulary. National-day greetings land better in each country's own dialect: Emirati for Eid Al Etihad, Saudi for Founding Day and National Day, Kuwaiti for the February holidays.
How much does an AI-generated seasonal ad cost?
A 30-second voice spot is about 600 credits on Vox Prime, and three dialects about 1,800, all within Starter at $4.99 a month. Video is billed per second by tier: 15 seconds on Lite is 2,250 credits before the voiceover.
