What it says: In the box you will find the two earbuds, the charging case, a short cable and three sizes of ear tips. Let's start with pairing: open the case near your phone and hold the back button for two seconds. Now we test the noise cancellation somewhere crowded.

Made with Vocla VideoThe voice inside a video

Hear an Arabic voice-over inside a finished video

This is a real Vocla Video: its voice-over is a Vocla library voice, and the scenes, burned-in captions and music were added in the same tool. The audio you generate from this page goes under your own footage the same way.

The problem

The product clip shows, but does not explain

Nice shots of the product on a white table with soft music, and then the same questions arrive in your inbox: what size is it, is it rechargeable, what comes in the box?

  1. The clip said none of that, and the buyer who did not ask simply left.

  2. Recording the explanation in your own voice seems easy until you try it: take after take, street noise, and a tone that changes from one product to the next. With fifty products in the store, recording becomes a project that never ends.

  3. Then the details change. A new colour, a seasonal price, a feature the supplier added. If the narration was recorded months ago, today's recording will not match it, so the old clip stays up with the wrong information.

Why Vocla

Why Vocla for product narration

  • A voice that fits your own footage

You own the footage and Vocla gives you the narration. You adjust speed and pauses until each sentence lands on its shot: the feature when it appears, the price when the whole product is in frame.

  • One voice for the whole store

Choose a voice from the voice library and use it across every product clip. A shopper moving between product pages hears one brand, not five unrelated voices.

  • Product names and technical terms

English words inside an Arabic sentence are read, such as model names and specifications. Save your brand name in the pronunciation dictionary, and add tashkeel to an ambiguous word in one click; the marks do not count toward your credits.

  • The buyer's dialect

A store selling in Saudi Arabia narrates in Saudi Arabic, one selling in Egypt in Egyptian. If you ship to several countries, the same script can be generated in each market's dialect, or in Modern Standard Arabic for everyone.

  • Edit a sentence, not a whole clip

Price changed, or a colour was added? Edit the line and generate again in the same voice. Everything you generate stays in your history in case you need the file again.

How it works

How to add narration to a product clip

  1. Step 1

Watch the clip and note the timings

Write down what appears in each shot and when: the box opens at second three, the product switches on at second eight. That list is the skeleton of your script.

  2. Step 2

    Write one line per shot

Open with the problem the product solves or its strongest feature, then the specifications people ask about, then what is in the box, and finally how to order. Short sentences, numbers written as words.

  3. Step 3

Choose the voice and the dialect

A lively voice for beauty products and accessories, a calmer and clearer one for devices and technical products. Commit to one and keep its settings for the rest of the catalogue.

  4. Step 4

Generate and compare the length with the clip

If the audio is longer than the clip, cut an adjective, never a specification. If it is shorter, add a pause on a shot that deserves a moment of the viewer's attention.

  5. Step 5

Download, lay it in and upload

Place the file under the clip in your video editor and lower the music, then upload the video yourself to the product page in your online store and to your accounts. There is no direct connection to store platforms.

Cost

What does narrating a store's clips cost?

Narration is charged by the characters in your script, and a thousand characters gives you about one spoken minute at 800 to 1,200 credits depending on the model. A half-minute product clip uses about half of that, so you can work out the credits for the whole store from the number of products and the average length of a script before you start.

Store clips are commercial use, so you need the Starter plan or higher at $4.99 a month, with 5,000 credits. Stores adding products every week are better served by the Professional plan's 80,000 credits a month. The Free plan's 500͏ credits a month are for personal trials.

The numbers

Quick maths

Worked example: a 30-second script is about 400 to 600 credits.

  • Free plan: 500͏ credits a month for text to speech, with MP3 downloads, for personal use only.
  • Text to speech uses 800 to 1,200 credits per 1,000 characters, depending on the model. 1,000 characters is about one spoken minute, and tashkeel marks are never counted.
  • Commercial usage rights and WAV export start with Starter: $4.99 a month with 5,000 credits.

Figures use the current plans and default credit rates. The exact cost is always shown in the app before you confirm.

Publishing this for a business?

The Free plan is for personal use and evaluation. Audio and video you publish for a brand, a client or a monetised channel need commercial usage rights, which start with the Starter plan.

Questions people ask

How do I add an Arabic voice-over to a product video I filmed?

Write the script in Vocla, choose the voice and dialect, generate the file and download it. Then open the clip in the video editor you use, place the audio under it and line it up with the shots. Vocla produces the voice; the assembly happens in your editor.

Can I use the voice in my store and my ads?

Yes, from the Starter plan up, which is where commercial usage rights begin; they cover product pages and paid ads. The Free plan is for personal use only and is not suitable for a store that sells.

What if I have no footage of the product?

This page is for people who already have footage. If you have none, look at Vocla Video, available from the Starter plan: you write a script and the scenes are generated with AI, with the voice-over and captions. On the same plan you can start from a real photo of your product, which keeps packaging details more accurate.

Does the video upload to my store automatically?

No. There is no connection between Vocla and any store platform or ad manager. You download the audio file, lay it over the clip, then upload the video yourself to the product page in your online store and to your social accounts.

How long should the narration for a product video be?

Fifteen to thirty seconds for a vertical feature clip, roughly thirty to seventy Arabic words. Unboxings and how-to clips can run to a minute or two. The rule is that the talking about a shot should finish before the shot does.

Can I make the same narration in more than one dialect?

Yes. Adjust the wording of the script to suit the dialect, pick a voice in that dialect and generate again. Vocla supports Modern Standard Arabic and 18 dialects, so you can prepare a Saudi, an Egyptian and an Emirati version of the same clip, each charged by its own character count.
