Voice cloning for content creators: YouTube, podcasts and courses in your voice
Record one clear sample of your voice, then type the script and the narration comes out in your voice and your dialect. For YouTubers, podcasters and course makers whose audience knows them by ear, and who cannot find the time or a quiet room to record before every upload.
- Your voice, or written permission
- Private to your workspace
- Delete it at any time
Voice cloning is included on paid plans from Starter. Clone only your own voice or a voice you have written permission to use.

Building your voiceNow reading a new script:
هلا فيكم، معكم سلطان. اليوم بنتكلم عن ثلاث أشياء تهم كل واحد يبدأ قناته. أول شي: وش تبغى تقدّم؟ ثاني شي: ليش الناس بتتابعك أنت بالذات؟ والثالث، وهذا مرة مهم، كم مرة بتنشر في الأسبوع؟
Hear it yourself
Scripts to read when you record your sample
Read whichever of the first two scripts is closer to your dialect aloud at the microphone, then paste something like the third, in the dialect you recorded, to test the voice once it is built.
Sample script in the channel's dialect
Saudi Arabicهلا فيكم، معكم سلطان. اليوم بنتكلم عن ثلاث أشياء تهم كل واحد يبدأ قناته. أول شي: وش تبغى تقدّم؟ ثاني شي: ليش الناس بتتابعك أنت بالذات؟ والثالث، وهذا مرة مهم، كم مرة بتنشر في الأسبوع؟ صدقوني، الموضوع أسهل مما تتوقعون!
What it says: Hi everyone, Sultan here. Today we're talking about three things that matter to anyone starting a channel. First: what do you want to offer? Second: why would people follow you in particular? And third, and this one really matters, how many times a week will you post? Trust me, it's easier than you think!
Sample script in Modern Standard Arabic
Modern Standard Arabicفي عام ألفين وتسعة عشر بدأتُ هذه القناة بهاتف قديم ومصباح مكتب. لم أكن أعرف شيئًا عن الإضاءة ولا عن الصوت. هل ندمت؟ أبدًا. تعلّمت من كل حلقة درسًا واحدًا على الأقل، وما زلت أتعلّم حتى اليوم.
What it says: In two thousand and nineteen I started this channel with an old phone and a desk lamp. I knew nothing about lighting or sound. Do I regret it? Never. I learned at least one lesson from every episode, and I am still learning today.
A first script to test your cloned voice
Egyptian Arabicأهلًا بيكم في حلقة جديدة. النهارده هنتكلم عن حاجة ناس كتير بتسأل عليها: إزاي تبدأ بودكاست من البيت من غير ما تصرف كتير؟ خليكم معايا للآخر، عشان في الآخر هقولكم على غلطة أنا وقعت فيها وعايزكم تتجنبوها.
What it says: Welcome to a new episode. Today we're talking about something a lot of people ask about: how do you start a podcast from home without spending much? Stay with me to the end, because I'll tell you about a mistake I made that I want you to avoid.
Every recording is real Vocla output in a public library voice, published unedited.
The problem
Your audience knows your voice, and the schedule will not wait for your throat
A channel that publishes three times a week needs three recording sessions: a silent room, a microphone set up properly and a mood that matches the last episode.
A mild cold, a week of travel or a neighbour renovating is enough to delay an upload or make it sound different.
Then, after the edit, you spot a wrong sentence or a figure that changed. Re-recording one sentence rarely matches what surrounds it: the distance to the microphone has shifted, the energy has shifted, and viewers hear the patch.
Stock voices solve the time problem, but they are not you. People who subscribed to your channel or bought your course are used to your tone, your dialect and the way you stretch certain words, and a sudden switch sounds as if someone else took over.
Why Vocla
What makes a cloned voice practical for a creator
One sample, then you only type
Ten seconds of clean speech is enough to start, and one to two minutes spread over a few clips gives the closest likeness. The voice is ready in about a minute and appears among your voices.
Your dialect stays yours
The voice learns how you pronounce things: record in Saudi Arabic and it reads in Saudi Arabic, record in Egyptian and it reads in Egyptian. It also reads English words inside your Arabic sentences.
Fix a sentence with no audible patch
Edit the wrong line and regenerate it alone with the same settings. It comes out in the same tone because it comes from the same voice, not from a new session.
Direct the delivery
Set speed, stability and expressiveness, or write a short instruction such as "calm and close". Add tashkeel to an ambiguous word or put it in the pronunciation dictionary.
A voice that is yours alone
Your cloned voice never appears in the public voice library and nobody outside your workspace can use it. You can delete it, and its model, whenever you like.
How it works
How to set up your voice and start publishing with it
Step 1
Record the sample in the quietest place you have
A room with curtains and a rug beats an empty one that echoes. Keep the microphone a hand's width from your mouth, switch off the air conditioning and the fan, and record with no music.
Step 2
Read in the tone your audience knows
Record the way you talk in your videos, not the way a newsreader reads. Vary the sentences: a statement, a question, a number and an excited line, so the voice learns more than one mood.
Step 3
Upload the clips and wait a minute
Upload up to twenty clips totalling no more than five minutes, or record straight from the browser. Vocla transcribes the clips and builds the voice.
Step 4
Test it on a real script
Type the intro of your next episode and listen on phone earbuds. If the voice sounds flat, add a livelier clip to the sample and build it again.
Step 5
Type, generate and edit it in
Paste the episode script paragraph by paragraph, download the file, then lay it on the video in the editor you already use.
Listen to the voices
Hear Vocla's voices before you add your own
These are voices from Vocla's public library, not cloned voices. Your cloned voice stays private to your workspace and reads any script you write, the way these voices do.

A voice belongs to a person. Cloning starts with their permission.
Voice cloning is powerful, so it runs under clear rules. Every cloned voice on Vocla must be your own voice or one you have explicit, written permission to use, and we act on every report of misuse.

Cost
What does publishing in your cloned voice cost?
Voice cloning starts with the Starter plan at $4.99 a month, where the number of cloned voices you can keep is 1, against 5 on Professional. The same plan gives you commercial usage rights, which a monetised channel or a course you sell needs.
Generating with your voice is charged by characters, like text to speech, and a thousand characters is about one spoken minute. A ten-minute episode is roughly ten thousand characters, and you see the cost before each generation. When you regenerate a corrected sentence, only its own characters are charged.
Compare plansThe numbers
- Voice cloning is included from Starter, at $4.99 a month. It is not part of the Free plan.
- Cloned voices you can keep: 1 on Starter, 5 on Professional and 15 on Business.
- Audio read by your cloned voice is billed like any text to speech: 800 to 1,200 credits per 1,000 characters.

Questions people ask
Can I clone my voice and use it in my YouTube videos?
Yes. You record a sample of your voice, and about a minute later your cloned voice appears among your voices, so you type the video script and generate it. Cloning is available from the Starter plan, which also carries the commercial usage rights a monetised channel needs.
How much do I need to record to clone my voice?
The minimum is ten seconds of clear speech, but one to two minutes across a few varied clips gives a much better likeness. The upper limit is twenty clips totalling five minutes. A clean recording matters more than a long one.
Will the cloned voice speak in my dialect?
Yes, it keeps the dialect and accent in your sample. Record in the dialect you publish in, and write your scripts in it too. If you want one voice for Modern Standard Arabic and another for colloquial Arabic, two samples and two separate voices work best, if your plan allows more than one.
Can it laugh or get excited the way I do?
Up to a point. The voice reads a written script, and its emotional range follows what it heard in the sample and what you set in expressiveness or write as a delivery instruction. It will not improvise a laugh or talk with a guest, so keep interviews and ad-libs for real recordings and use it for scripted parts.
Can I clone a famous YouTuber's voice?
No. You may clone your own voice, or the voice of someone who gave you written permission for the use you intend. Cloning celebrities, public figures or anyone without their consent is prohibited and leads to removal of the voice and suspension of the account.
Do I have to tell my audience the voice is AI-generated?
Check the rules of the platform you publish on: some ask you to label AI-generated content when it looks or sounds realistic. Rules aside, it is better to tell your audience plainly that the episode is read by your cloned voice. Their trust is worth more than the time you save.
