About Vocla VideoThe problem
A faceless channel stands on its voice
On a channel whose owner never appears, the voice is the face.
A viewer listens to it for ten straight minutes over images and archive footage, and if it is tiring, or changes from one episode to the next, they will not finish and they will not come back.
Recording it yourself means reading fifteen hundred words without stumbling, then cleaning out noise and breaths and cutting the mistakes. Many creators spend longer on the audio than on research and writing, and their output drops from three episodes a week to one.
Anyone who has tried machine reading before knows its flaws in Arabic: one flat tone for the whole episode, tashkeel errors that fill the comments with corrections, and English words spelled out letter by letter.
Why Vocla
What a YouTube channel needs from a voice tool
One voice that becomes the channel's identity
Choose a voice from the library and use it with the same settings in every episode. Episode fifty comes out in the voice of episode one, and later you can clone your own voice from Starter.
Long scripts, in parts
Each generation takes up to 10,000 characters, roughly ten spoken minutes. Longer episodes are split along their natural chapters and generated part by part in the same voice.
Fix a sentence, not an episode
Spotted a factual error after the edit? Regenerate that paragraph alone and swap it on the timeline. Everything you have generated is kept in your history.
Pronunciation that keeps corrections out of the comments
One-click tashkeel with a review of every change, alternative readings for an ambiguous word, and a pronunciation dictionary for the people and places that recur on your channel. Tashkeel marks are not deducted from your credits.

How it works
A YouTube episode workflow, from script to audio
Step 1
Write the script in chapters
An intro that hooks in the first fifteen seconds, then chapters of one to three minutes per idea, then an outro. Each chapter is its own paragraph, which makes generating and editing easier.
Step 2
Lock the channel settings once
On the first episode, try two or three voices on the intro, then write down the voice, speed, stability and expressiveness you chose and use them for everything that follows.
Step 3
Generate each chapter as a file
Paste the chapter, check the cost shown, then generate. A script longer than 10,000 characters is split at the end of a paragraph, never mid-sentence.
Step 4
Listen at normal speed and correct
Listen to the whole episode the way a viewer will. Note the words that stumble, add tashkeel or put them in the dictionary, and regenerate only their paragraphs.
Step 5
Lay the audio first, then the picture
Download the files and arrange them in your video editor, then cut the footage to the rhythm of the voice. After that you upload the video to YouTube yourself; there is no direct publishing from Vocla.

Cost
What does a YouTube episode cost?
An eight-minute episode is about eight thousand characters, and every 1,000 characters uses from 800 to 1,200 credits depending on the model. Regenerating a paragraph is charged for its characters only, so corrections stay cheap if you have split the script well.
A monetised channel is commercial use and needs at least Starter, at $4.99 a month with 5,000 credits. If you publish several long episodes a week, Professional with 80,000 credits a month is the better fit. The Free plan and its 500͏ credits are fine for choosing the channel voice before you launch.

Quick maths
Worked example: a 8-minute script is about 6,400 to 9,600 credits.
- Free plan: 500͏ credits a month for text to speech, with MP3 downloads, for personal use only.
- Text to speech uses 800 to 1,200 credits per 1,000 characters, depending on the model. 1,000 characters is about one spoken minute, and tashkeel marks are never counted.
- Commercial usage rights and WAV export start with Starter: $4.99 a month with 5,000 credits.
Figures use the current plans and default credit rates. The exact cost is always shown in the app before you confirm.
Publishing this for a business?
The Free plan is for personal use and evaluation. Audio and video you publish for a brand, a client or a monetised channel need commercial usage rights, which start with the Starter plan.
Questions people ask
Can I monetise a YouTube channel that uses an AI voice?
Commercial usage rights for the audio come with Starter and above. Whether a channel is accepted for monetisation is YouTube's decision alone and depends on its policies on original and repetitive content. The voice is one part of an episode: write an original script that adds real value, and check the platform's current policies.
How do I convert a long script to speech?
Split it into chapters of no more than 10,000 characters each, generate every chapter with the same voice and settings, then line the files up in your video editor. Splitting at paragraph ends hides the joins and makes it easy to edit one chapter later.
What is the best Arabic voice for a faceless YouTube channel?
A clear narrative voice at a mid-range pitch that a viewer can listen to for a full episode. History and documentary channels lean toward Modern Standard Arabic; story and tech channels toward their audience's dialect. Try two candidates on a real episode intro and listen on a phone before choosing.
Do I have to tell YouTube the voice is AI-generated?
YouTube asks creators to disclose certain kinds of altered or generated content that looks realistic, and the details sit in policies that change from time to time. Check them when you upload and choose disclosure where it applies to your video. Nothing here is legal advice.
Can it read the script in my own voice?
Yes, with voice cloning from Starter. You record a clean sample of at least 10 seconds; one to two minutes of speech gives the best result. The voice is ready in about a minute and keeps your dialect. You may use your own voice, or one whose owner has given written permission.
Can I upload a Word file or an article link?
No. Text to speech works on text you paste or type directly, so copy the script from your editor and paste it chapter by chapter. Remember that reading out an article that is not yours without its owner's permission may breach their rights and the platform's policies.
