  • Welcome for a new hire

    Modern Standard Arabic

أهلًا بك في يومك الأول معنا. خلال الدقائق العشر القادمة نعرّفك على هيكل الشركة، وساعات العمل، وطريقة طلب الإجازات، ومن تتواصل معه إذا احتجت إلى مساعدة.

What it says: Welcome to your first day with us. Over the next ten minutes we will walk you through the company structure, working hours, how to request leave, and who to contact if you need help.

  • On-site safety instructions

    Saudi Arabic

قبل ما تدخل المستودع، تأكد إنك لابس الخوذة وحذاء السلامة. لو شفت شي مو طبيعي، وقّف الشغل على طول وبلّغ المشرف، لا تحاول تصلحه بنفسك. سلامتك أهم من أي طلبية.

What it says: Before you enter the warehouse, make sure you are wearing your helmet and safety shoes. If you see anything unusual, stop work straight away and tell the supervisor; do not try to fix it yourself. Your safety matters more than any order.

  • Compliance module: conflict of interest

    Modern Standard Arabic

تضارب المصالح هو كل حالة تتأثر فيها قراراتك في العمل بمصلحة شخصية لك أو لأحد أقاربك. إذا شككت في حالة ما فلا تقرر وحدك: أفصح عنها لمديرك المباشر عبر النموذج المخصّص خلال خمسة أيام عمل.

What it says: A conflict of interest is any situation where your decisions at work are influenced by a personal interest of yours or of a relative. If you are unsure about a case, do not decide alone: disclose it to your line manager using the dedicated form within five working days.

The problem

Policies change faster than you can re-record

In a training department nothing stays still.

  1. The leave policy is amended, a safety procedure is revised after an incident, and the new product needs an introduction module before launch day. Meanwhile every existing module was voiced by a colleague who volunteered once and has since moved teams or left the company.

  2. What you end up with is a training library in mismatched voices and uneven recording quality: one module read by the HR manager into a phone, another by a professional paid for a single project, a third with no audio at all because the deadline did not allow it. New hires notice on their first day.

  3. In compliance and safety training there is no room to improvise the wording. The text the legal department approved has to be heard as written, with the right department name and the right form number, in Arabic the worker on site understands as well as the employee at a desk.

Why Vocla

What Vocla gives HR and training teams

  • One approved voice for every programme

Pick a voice from the voice library as your organisation's training voice and use it for onboarding, compliance and product training. It is never on leave and never resigns, and the module you add next quarter comes out in the same tone.

  • The approved text is read as it stands

What you paste is what gets spoken, with no rewording. Add tashkeel to sensitive phrases in one click and review each change before accepting it. Tashkeel marks are not deducted from your credits.

  • A dictionary for your company's vocabulary

Department names, internal systems, abbreviations and the company name itself are saved once in the pronunciation dictionary, so they are read the same way in every module, whoever wrote the script.

  • Modern Standard Arabic for policy, a dialect for the floor

Modern Standard Arabic suits regulations and codes of conduct, while the dialect spoken on site brings safety instructions closer to the people doing the work. There are 18 dialects, including Saudi, Emirati and Egyptian, and English words are read inside Arabic sentences.

  • Update a paragraph, not a module

When a clause changes, edit its paragraph and regenerate only that audio with the same voice and settings. Everything you have generated stays in your history for later review.

How it works

From approved policy text to a narrated module

  1. Step 1

Start from the approved text, not the slides

Take the wording the responsible department signed off and turn it into something meant to be spoken: shorter sentences, clause numbers and dates written as words, form codes spelled the way they are said.

  2. Step 2

    Split the module by screen

Give each screen its own segment and its own file. One generation takes up to 10,000 characters, but small files are what make it easy to update a single clause later.

  3. Step 3

Lock the voice and the terms before production

Try two or three voices on a real paragraph from your onboarding programme and play them to whoever decides. Then enter company terms in the pronunciation dictionary before generating any full module.

  4. Step 4

Generate, then play it to the content owner

Send the audio to the department that owns the policy so they hear it before release. If they ask for a word to change, adjust its tashkeel or wording and regenerate that segment alone.

  5. Step 5

Download the files and place them in your authoring tool

Download MP3 or WAV, add each file to its screen in your authoring tool or presentation software, then upload the module to your learning system. There is no direct connection to learning management systems, so placing the audio is a manual step.

Cost

How is the cost of a training programme worked out?

You pay for the characters that are read, and a thousand characters is roughly one spoken minute, so a ten-minute compliance module is about ten thousand characters. Each thousand characters uses between 800 and 1,200 credits depending on the model, the cost is shown before you generate, and regenerating an edited paragraph is charged for that paragraph's characters only.

Corporate training is commercial use, so the Free plan, which is for personal use, does not cover it. Commercial rights start with the Starter plan at $4.99 a month. For teams, the Professional plan at $29 a month has three seats and 80,000 credits, and the Business plan has ten seats and 350,000 credits a month.

The numbers

Quick maths

Worked example: a 10-minute script is about 8,000 to 12,000 credits.

  • Free plan: 500͏ credits a month for text to speech, with MP3 downloads, for personal use only.
  • Text to speech uses 800 to 1,200 credits per 1,000 characters, depending on the model. 1,000 characters is about one spoken minute, and tashkeel marks are never counted.
  • Commercial usage rights and WAV export start with Starter: $4.99 a month with 5,000 credits.

Figures use the current plans and default credit rates. The exact cost is always shown in the app before you confirm.

Publishing this for a business?

The Free plan is for personal use and evaluation. Audio and video you publish for a brand, a client or a monetised channel need commercial usage rights, which start with the Starter plan.

Questions people ask

Can I use AI voice-over to train my company's employees?

Yes, on the Starter plan or higher. Commercial usage rights start there, and company content counts as commercial use even when it stays internal. The Free plan is for personal use; you can still use it to audition voices before subscribing.

Can I upload the audio to our LMS?

What you download are ordinary MP3 or WAV audio files that authoring tools and presentation software accept. There is no direct connection between Vocla and any learning management system, so you place the audio in the module yourselves and upload it to your system as you would any other content.

How many team members can work in the same account?

The Professional plan includes three seats and the Business plan ten, which suits a team that splits the work between writing scripts, generating audio and reviewing it. The Starter plan is for one user and is enough when a single person produces all the content.

Should employee training be in Modern Standard Arabic or a dialect?

Modern Standard Arabic is the safe choice for policies, regulations and anything heard in more than one country. A local dialect works well for safety instructions, field training and customer service, where closeness to the listener matters more than formality. You can combine them in one programme: Modern Standard Arabic for the rules, the dialect for examples and scenarios.

Can the narration be in our CEO's voice?

It can, through voice cloning, available from the Starter plan, provided the owner of the voice records the sample personally or gives written permission. Ten seconds of clear speech is the minimum, and one to two minutes gives a closer likeness. The cloned voice stays private to your workspace.

What do I do when a policy changes after the module is live?

Edit the paragraph that changed, regenerate its audio with the voice and settings you used before, replace that screen's file in your authoring tool and republish the module. This is why we recommend a separate file per screen: an update touches one file and costs one paragraph's characters.
