Hear it yourself

Instructions and a welcome, after dubbing

Three lines from common training material. The Arabic is direct and short, and drops no condition stated in the original.

  • Safety instruction

    Modern Standard Arabic

قبل دخول منطقة التحميل، ارتدِ الخوذة والسترة العاكسة، وتأكّد أن الرافعة متوقفة تمامًا.

What it says: Original: "Before you enter the loading area, make sure you're wearing your hard hat and high-vis vest, and check that the forklift has come to a complete stop."

The problem

The video went to everyone. Who understood it?

Head office sends the new safety video or the updated system walkthrough in English, and every employee is asked to watch it and confirm.

  1. In the warehouse, the showroom and on site, many let the video play to the end without following what is said, then press the completion button.

  2. For a video about employee benefits that is an annoyance. For one about operating a forklift or handling a chemical it is a real hazard. Instructions nobody understood protect no one, whatever completion figure the report shows.

  3. The local training team is usually small. A translation agency quotes per video and needs weeks, and when the policy changes three months later the request starts again from the beginning.

Why Vocla

What a training team needs, and finds in Vocla

  • Modern Standard Arabic or the site's dialect

Dub formal material into Modern Standard Arabic so employees of different Arab nationalities follow it, and duplicate the same project in one click into Saudi, Emirati or Egyptian for videos aimed at a single branch.

  • A glossary for internal names

System names, departments, job titles and procedure codes are entered once: what stays in English as the employee sees it on screen, and what is always translated with the name your company has approved.

  • Seats for the team and its reviewers

Professional comes with three seats and Business with ten, so the training lead, the safety officer and the product manager work in the same workspace and each reviews their own part.

  • Lock approved lines

Once the expert approves the wording of a warning or a procedure, lock the line so no later rewrite can change it. The other lines stay open for improvement.

  • Updates when the policy changes

The project stays saved. When a figure or a procedure changes, you edit those lines and render again; only what changed is re-voiced and nothing else is charged.

How it works

From head-office material to a version the branch can follow

  1. Step 1

    Sort the material by priority

Start with what is mandatory: safety and new-hire onboarding, then system and product walkthroughs. Cut long town-hall recordings into segments within your plan's length limit.

  2. Step 2

    Write the company glossary

Collect the approved Arabic names from the employee handbook and the system lists, and add internal abbreviations and how they are said to the pronunciation dictionary.

  3. Step 3

    Dub and set the voices

Upload the video and choose Modern Standard Arabic or the branch's dialect. If more than one person speaks, such as a manager and a shift supervisor, rename each speaker by name or role and choose a fitting voice.

  4. Step 4

    Expert review

The subject expert reads every line against the English original, checks that shortening a sentence did not drop a condition or a warning, then locks the lines they have approved.

  5. Step 5

Export and add the video to your training system

Download the MP4 with the Arabic subtitle file and upload both yourself to the training system or intranet. Keep the project for next year's updates.

Cost

What does the company pay?

Staff training is commercial use, so the minimum is Starter at $4.99 a month, for one user and videos of up to 10 minutes. Teams that need reviewers are better served by Professional at $29 a month with videos of up to 30 minutes, or Business with a 60-minute limit and more seats.

Usage is charged on the characters spoken plus a small processing fee per minute, and is shown before every render. A training library of dozens of videos is dubbed in stages by priority, and updating an old video costs only the edited lines.

Compare plans

The numbers

  • Not available on the Free plan; included in every paid plan.
  • Longest video per project: 10 minutes on Starter, 30 on Professional and 60 on Business.
  • Rendering uses credits for the characters voiced plus a small per-minute processing fee. The exact cost is shown before you render, and re-renders only charge for the lines you changed.
  • Commercial usage rights and WAV export start with Starter: $4.99 a month with 5,000 credits.

Figures use the current plans and default credit rates. The exact cost is always shown in the app before you confirm.

Publishing this for a business?

The Free plan is for personal use and evaluation. Audio and video you publish for a brand, a client or a monetised channel need commercial usage rights, which start with the Starter plan.

Questions people ask

Should staff training videos be dubbed in Modern Standard Arabic or a dialect?

Modern Standard Arabic if employees come from several Arab nationalities or the content is policy, safety and compliance. The local dialect if the team is from one country and the content is practical and everyday. You can issue both from the same project by duplicating it into the other variety.

Can I rely on AI dubbing for safety videos?

Yes, on condition of human review. Adaptation shortens lines to fit their slots, so an Arabic-speaking safety specialist should read every line against the original and confirm that no condition was dropped and no figure changed before the video is released to employees.

How many people can work in the same account?

Professional includes three team seats and Business ten. That usually covers the training lead and one or two reviewers from the departments concerned. Starter is for a single user and suits someone handling the material alone.

Can I dub the video into Urdu or Hindi for other workers?

No. Vocla dubs into Arabic only, in Modern Standard Arabic or one of the available dialects. The source video can be in English, Hindi, Urdu or other languages, but the output is always Arabic.

Is the share link suitable for internal content?

The share link opens a page where anyone who has the link can watch the video. Use it to review material that is not sensitive, and do not use it for confidential internal content. For sensitive material, review inside the workspace, then download the file and upload it to your internal system.

What if the procedure changes after the video is published?

Open the saved project, edit the lines whose content changed, render again and replace the file in your training system. If the source video itself changes with new footage, upload it as a new project and use the same glossary.
