Quick answer

To make a video ad with an AI video ad maker, write a four-part script (a two-second hook, the offer, a reason to believe, one clear call to action), pick your target market's dialect, and paste it into Vocla's Video studio. Vocla voices it, splits it into scenes, renders them once you approve the storyboard, and adds Arabic captions and music in a finished MP4.

01The structure behind every AI video ad maker workflow

AI removes the shoot, the edit and the voice booking. It doesn't come up with the idea. Short ads on Instagram and TikTok are watched phone in hand with a thumb ready to scroll, so every second has to work. Start with structure, not software: four fixed parts whose length scales with the ad.

PartJob15-second ad30-second ad
HookStop the scroll with a question or a problem the viewer knows2 seconds3 to 4 seconds
OfferWhat you sell and why now5 to 6 seconds10 to 12 seconds
ProofA reason to believe: a clear benefit, a guarantee, a trial3 to 4 seconds8 to 10 seconds
Call to actionOne clear step: order, book, download2 to 3 seconds4 to 5 seconds

A practical length rule for Arabic: a 15-second ad holds roughly 30 to 40 words, a 30-second ad 65 to 80. Go over and the voice has to rush, losing warmth, or the video runs past its limit. Check your script before you go further:

Tip

Write the hook in the viewer's words, not the company's. “Tired of coffee that goes cold in ten minutes?” stops a thumb; “We offer premium insulated cups” gets scrolled past unheard.

02Copy-ready scripts in 15 and 30 second versions

A Saudi 15-second ad for a fictional perfume store. Each line is one part of the structure: hook, offer, proof, call to action.

Perfume ad, 15 secondsSaudi · ar-SA

What are you wearing today? Dar Al Oud's new perfumes are in, 20% off until the end of the week. They last with you all day. Order now from the link, delivery's free.

An Egyptian 30-second ad for a fictional fitness app. The extra time lets you name the problem and give more than one reason to believe:

And an Emirati 15-second ad for a fictional delivery restaurant, with local words like shu (what) and wayed (very):

Restaurant ad, 15 secondsEmirati · ar-AE
شو بتتغدى اليوم؟ مشاوي البيت وصلت دبي، وأول طلب عليه خصم خمسطعش بالمية. الطعم وايد قريب من أكل البيت. اطلب الحين من التطبيق.

What are you having for lunch today? Mashawi Al Bait is now in Dubai, with 15% off your first order. It tastes very close to home cooking. Order now in the app.

Heads-up

Don't put a number or claim in an ad you can't back up, like “best-selling” or “thousands of customers”. You're responsible for every claim, and the tool voices exactly what you write.

03Pick the dialect by market, not by head office

An ad aimed at Riyadh differs from one aimed at Cairo or Amman even for the same product. The dialect tells viewers “this is for you”. Modern Standard Arabic stays a strong choice for pan-Arab campaigns or formal categories such as banking and government.

Modern Standard Arabic

هل تبحث عن هدية مميزة؟ اطلبها الآن وتصلك غدًا.

Saudi

تدوّر هدية تفرق؟ اطلبها الحين وتوصلك بكرة.

Both lines mean “Looking for a special gift? Order now and get it tomorrow.” The Saudi version uses al-heen (now) and bukra (tomorrow) the way people actually speak in an ad they'd watch to the end.

MarketSuggested dialectWords that give it away
Saudi ArabiaSaudiwesh, abgha, al-heen, yimdeek
UAEEmirati, or simple MSA for a mixed audienceshu, aba, wayed
KuwaitKuwaitishlon, wayed, chithi
EgyptEgyptianeh, ayez, dilwa'ti, keda
Jordan and LebanonJordanian or Lebaneseshu, biddi, halla'
Pan-Arab campaignSimple MSAShort, unfussy sentences

In Vocla you pick the voice and dialect with the same dialect picker as text to speech, so the voice speaks with the market's accent rather than a generic one. For a deeper look at Saudi vs Egyptian vs Levantine for ads, see our dialect guide.

04Step by step in Vocla's Video studio

Vocla Video turns a script into a finished MP4: a Vocla voice in your chosen dialect, AI-generated scenes, Arabic captions and an optional music bed. The important detail is that the video model only paints pictures. Captions are a separate track timed to the speech, because video models garble Arabic text inside frames.

  1. 1Script and voice: paste the ad, choose voice and dialect, then format (9:16 for Instagram and TikTok), caption style and music.
  2. 2Check the quote: the studio shows the credits and the seconds left in your month before anything renders.
  3. 3Review the scene plan: Vocla voices the script first, splits it into short scenes timed to the speech and writes an editable visual prompt for each.
  4. 4Approve the storyboard: a still per scene lets you check the look before spending credits on video.
  5. 5Render and download: scenes are rendered, your voice laid on top, Arabic captions burned in and music added.
  6. 6Fix one scene: don't like a shot? Edit its prompt and regenerate that scene alone, without redoing the ad.

There are three caption styles, clean, bold and karaoke (each word lights up as it's spoken), placed at the bottom or centre of the frame. For short ads, bold or karaoke reads best on a phone, and most people watch with the sound off.

Tip

Scene prompts avoid logos, on-screen text and real people. To show your actual product, upload its photo as a scene's first frame, available from Starter up.

If the ad is for a product you have photos of, the Ad maker is the shortcut: upload one to four product photos, let the AI read the product and suggest ad angles, pick a style such as Flash sale or Luxury reveal, and it writes the script in your dialect with your price and offer, voices it and builds every scene from your real photo. You approve the scenes before rendering, then download the finished ad with captions and music.

05Test variants: change one thing at a time

Nobody knows in advance which ad will work, and we won't promise you a click-through rate. What you can do is prepare close variants and let the ad platform test them. AI makes variants cheap and fast, as long as each one changes a single variable, so you can tell what made the difference.

VariableHow to do it in VoclaExample
HookEdit the first line and generate again“What are you wearing today?” vs “Does your perfume fade in an hour?”
Opening sceneEdit that scene's prompt and regenerate it aloneA bottle on marble vs a hand spraying perfume
VoicePick another voice in the same dialectCalm female voice vs energetic male voice
DialectRewrite the script in another dialect and pick a matching voiceSaudi for Riyadh, Kuwaiti for Kuwait
Call to actionEdit only the last line“Order now” vs “Try it today, delivery's on us”
Kuwaiti version of the same offerKuwaiti · ar-KW

How do you want to smell today? Dar Al Oud's new perfumes have arrived in Kuwait, 20% off until the end of the week. They last really well, right through to the evening. Order now from the link.

A second-market version isn't a translation of the Saudi script; it's a rewrite. A Kuwaiti says wayed zain and chithi, a Jordanian says kteer helo and halla'. Write it yourself or have a native speaker do it, then voice it with a voice from that dialect.

06Limits and cost before you start

Vocla Video is on paid plans only, and its limits depend on the plan. What matters for ads:

PlanVideo seconds per monthLongest videoQuality and formatWatermark
Starter, $4.9930 seconds15 seconds720p, vertical 9:16Yes
Professional, $29300 seconds60 seconds1080p, 9:16, 16:9 and 1:1No
EnterpriseCustom180 secondsUp to 4KNo

Credits are charged per rendered second at the quality tier you pick, plus the voiceover and music, and you see the exact quote before rendering. On Starter, the month's 5,000 credits cover one 15-second ad on the base tier with room to spare, but not a second complete one with voice and music, so if you want test variants, 30-second ads or no watermark, Professional is the better fit. Failed scenes are refunded.

Heads-up

Before publishing, check each platform's advertising policies, including its rules on disclosing AI-generated content. They differ by platform and change often, and you remain responsible for your ad's script and claims.

Names in these scripts (Dar Al Oud, Lyaqtak, Mashawi Al Bait) are fictional and don't refer to real businesses. Offers and figures are examples; replace them with your own.

Key takeaways

  • Build every ad on four parts: a two-second hook, the offer, proof, and one clear call to action.
  • A 15-second Arabic ad holds about 30 to 40 words, a 30-second ad about 65 to 80.
  • Match the dialect to the market and always turn captions on, since most viewing is on mute.
  • Make test variants by changing one variable at a time: hook, opening scene, voice or dialect.

Frequently asked questions

How long should an Instagram or TikTok ad be?

The two most common lengths are 15 and 30 seconds. Use 15 seconds for quick awareness and 30 when the offer needs explaining. In Vocla, Starter goes up to 15 seconds per video and Professional up to 60.

Do I need footage or product photos?

No. Vocla generates scenes from visual prompts it writes for you, which you can edit. To show your real product, upload its photo as a first frame, available from Starter up.

Will Arabic text look right in the video?

Yes, because the video model never draws the captions. They're a separate track timed to the speech, rendered right to left with properly joined letters, in clean, bold or karaoke style.

Can I use the ads commercially?

Yes. Vocla Video is on paid plans, all of which include commercial rights. You're still responsible for your ad's claims and for following each platform's policies.

How do I make a second version without starting over?

Edit the prompt of the scene you want to change and regenerate it alone, or edit the hook or call-to-action line and generate again. Change one variable per version so you know what made the difference.
