Remove from videoNew

Remove anything from a video. Just describe it.

The passer-by, the bin in the corner, a logo you cannot show, a caption burned into the frame. Say what it is and where it is, and it is gone from every frame, with the background rebuilt behind it.

  • No masks or frame-by-frame work
  • No reference photo needed
  • Original audio untouched

Included in the Professional, Business and Enterprise plans.

Tips

Get a clean removal the first time

The description does the work a mask used to do.

Do

  • Describe position and appearance together: "the red bag on the left chair".
  • Name one thing per instruction when several things look alike.
  • Use clips where the thing to remove covers a small part of the frame.
  • Keep the camera movement gentle: steady shots rebuild the cleanest background.

Avoid

  • Vague targets such as "remove the thing" or "clean it up".
  • Removing the main subject that fills most of the frame.
  • Clips with heavy motion blur across the area to rebuild.
  • Removing a watermark or credit from a clip that is not yours.

Good to know

What Remove does behind the scenes

So you know what to expect from the result.

  • It rebuilds, it does not blur

The area behind the removed thing is repainted to match the scene in every frame, including shadows and reflections where it can.

  • The rest of the frame stays

People, movement and framing outside the removed area are kept as filmed.

  • Your sound is not edited

If the removed person was talking, their voice is still in the audio: Remove changes the picture only.

Removing things from video: FAQ

How do I remove an object from a video without a mask?

Upload a 3 to 15 second clip, choose Remove and describe the object and where it is. There is no mask to draw and no frame-by-frame work: the description tells the AI what to erase, and it rebuilds the background behind it.

Can I remove a person from a video?

Yes. Describe the person by appearance and position, for example "the woman in the white coat on the right". It works best for people in the background. You need the right to edit the clip, and public figures and minors are not accepted.

Can I remove text or a logo from a video?

Yes, when the clip is yours or you have the right to edit it. Describe the text or logo and where it sits. Do not use it to remove someone else's watermark or credit.

Do I need a reference photo to remove something?

No. Remove needs only the clip and your instruction. Reference photos are for Add and Replace.

Will removing something change the sound?

No. Only the picture is edited. The original audio is laid back unchanged, so a removed person who was speaking can still be heard.

What if the object is not fully removed?

Run Remove on the original clip again with a more precise description: add the colour, the side of the frame and what the object is next to. A failed or refused edit is refunded in full.
