Add to videoNew

Add an object to a video from one photo.

Upload a reference photo of the product, the prop or the person, say where it belongs, and it appears in the scene: lit like the room, moving with the camera, in every frame.

  • One reference photo is enough
  • Light and motion matched to the scene
  • Original audio untouched

Tips

The reference photo decides the result

A sharp photo and a clear place give a natural edit.

Do

  • Use a sharp, well-lit photo that shows the whole object.
  • Pick a photo taken from an angle close to the clip's camera angle.
  • Say exactly where it goes and what it rests on or is held by.
  • Mention scale when it could be misread: "a small bottle", "a full-size poster".

Avoid

  • Cropped, dark or blurry photos, or screenshots with interface on them.
  • Photos with several objects when you want only one of them.
  • Asking for a place that is hidden or out of frame for most of the clip.
  • Photos of a real person without their consent, or of a public figure.

Good to know

What Add keeps and what it changes

The scene stays yours; one thing joins it.

  • It follows the camera

The added object stays where you put it as the shot moves, and picks up the light and shadows of the scene.

  • Up to four photos

Add several things in one edit by uploading up to four reference photos and naming them in order.

  • Your sound is not edited

The original audio is laid back unchanged. Add changes the picture only.

Adding things to video: FAQ

How do I add an object to a video with AI?

Upload a 3 to 15 second clip, choose Add, upload a reference photo of the object and say where it should go. The object is placed in the scene with matching light and stays in place as the camera moves.

Can I add my product to an existing video?

Yes. Upload a clear product photo and a lifestyle clip you have the right to use, then say where the product sits, for example on the table or in the model's hand. See the product ad page for ad examples.

How many reference photos can I use?

Up to four per edit. Refer to them in order in your instruction: photo 1, photo 2 and so on.

Can I add a person to a video?

Yes, from a clear photo of the person and with their consent. Public figures and minors are not accepted. To swap someone already in the clip, use Replace instead.

What makes a good reference photo?

A sharp, well-lit photo that shows the whole object from an angle close to the clip's camera angle, on a plain background if possible. Avoid screenshots and photos with several objects.

Does adding an object change the audio?

No. Only the picture is edited, and the original audio is laid back unchanged.
