Nano Banana Prompts: 20 Ready Edits for Trends, Products and Everyday Photos

01What Nano Banana is, and where you can use it

Nano Banana is the nickname Google gave its image generation and editing models. It took off because it edits a photo from a single sentence while keeping the face or product recognisable, which is why trends like the 3D figurine and old-photo restoration spread so fast. The name now covers a family: the original, Pro, then Nano Banana 2 and its 2.1 update.

02The Nano Banana prompt formula that works

Most viral prompts are long paragraphs stuffed with adjectives. Nano Banana usually does better with a short, specific instruction. Build yours in this order:

1. 1The verb: turn, change, add, remove, move, restore. Lead with it so the model knows what kind of edit this is.
2. 2The target: exactly what changes, whether the background, the outfit, the light or the whole image style.
3. 3The anchor: what stays, such as “keep the face as it is” or “keep the bottle shape and label”.
4. 4Style and light: photorealistic, watercolour, studio lighting, golden-hour sun.
5. 5Any text: put the words «in quotes» and say where they go and what colour they are.

03Trend prompts: figurine, you and your younger self, old photo restore

These trends start from your own photo, so they need the Edit tab or reference photos, which come with the Creator plan. Upload a clear photo and paste:

What to expect: a glossy figure with your outfit's details and a face that reads as you, with a toy finish. If the face drifts, add “with exactly the same facial features” and run it again.

What to expect: a warm, slightly faded Polaroid look. You need two reference photos, so add your current photo first and the childhood one second.

What to expect: believable skin and clothing colours, but the model is guessing the originals, so a dress or wall colour may not match reality. If you only want it sharper without colour, use Enhance at 2K or 4K instead of Edit.

04Nano Banana prompts for product photos

This is where Nano Banana shines: it keeps the product and its label and changes everything around it. Upload a phone shot of the product in Edit, or add it as a reference photo in Create with the Product photo preset:

What to expect from all four: your product, same shape and colours, in a new scene with matching light. Very small print on packaging can shift a little, so zoom in before you publish. For a long headline inside the image, Vox Image Pro is stronger at lettering.

• Everything in one prompt: ten edits in one sentence makes the model change things you never asked for.
• No anchor: without “keep the face as it is”, big edits can nudge the face.
• Long text in the image: short headlines render cleanest; for long lettering pick Vox Image Pro.
• A weak source photo: small or dark photos give weak results, so start with your clearest shot.
