Quick answer

If Arabic voices are missing from CapCut Arabic text to speech, CapCut's help page lists three causes: temporary server updates or maintenance, voices rolled out gradually and not yet on every account, and an outdated app or browser. Refresh, update, clear the cache and sign out and back in. If you need a specific dialect such as Saudi or Egyptian, generate the voice in Vocla and import it into CapCut.

01Why Arabic voices go missing in CapCut text to speech

You open CapCut, type your text, hit Text to speech and look for an Arabic voice, and it isn't there, or a voice you used yesterday has vanished. It's a common frustration for Arabic creators, and CapCut addresses it directly in a help page about missing voice options.

According to that page, some voice options in Text to speech and the AI video maker may not appear because of temporary server updates or maintenance, because certain voices are rolled out gradually and aren't on all accounts yet, or because an outdated app or browser version limits the available voices. The page doesn't mention region or language as a cause.

A second help page, about the text to speech feature not working at all, adds other causes: a weak connection, since the feature relies on cloud processing; an unsupported language or voice selected; no text layer selected, since it only works on text layers; and audio that was generated but is muted or outside the timeline range.

Sources: CapCut help pages capcut.com/help/voice-options-missing (updated 23 December 2025) and capcut.com/help/text-to-speech-feature, as of October 2026. CapCut updates often, so check the pages yourself.

02The fixes CapCut recommends

Before looking elsewhere, work through CapCut's own suggestions in order. Many cases clear up in a step or two:

  1. 1Check the voice panel: browse the full list and pick from what's currently available; the Arabic voice may sit in another category.
  2. 2Reload: refresh the browser tab or close and reopen the app.
  3. 3Update CapCut: install the latest version, since new voices reach recent versions.
  4. 4Clear the cache: clear browser or app data, then restart.
  5. 5Sign out and back in: this refreshes your account settings.
  6. 6Switch networks: corporate or restricted networks can interfere; try another one.
  7. 7Contact support: send a screenshot of the missing voices if it persists.
Tip

Make sure a text layer is selected before you tap Text to speech. It's a common reason nothing happens, and CapCut's help page calls it out.

If Arabic voices reappear, great. CapCut's own resource pages say you can choose Arabic voices, including male and female options, and adjust pitch, speed and tone. They don't list specific dialects or how many Arabic voices there are.

03When a voice from outside CapCut makes sense

CapCut is an excellent editor, and having text to speech inside the project is convenient. Still, there are cases where generating the voice in an Arabic-first tool and importing it works better:

  • You need a specific dialect: your audience is in Riyadh, Cairo or Amman and you want their dialect, not generic Arabic.
  • You need the same voice every time: a daily channel wants one voice across every clip, even if the in-app voice list changes.
  • You need pronunciation control: product, place or people's names get mispronounced and need tashkeel and a pronunciation dictionary.
  • Your script mixes Arabic and English: brand names inside Arabic sentences should sound the way people say them.
  • It's paid client work: you need clear commercial rights and a WAV file for editing.
Modern Standard Arabic

اكتشفوا اليوم أفضل ثلاثة مطاعم في الرياض لعشاء عائلي هادئ.

Saudi

اليوم بعطيكم أحلى ثلاث مطاعم بالرياض لعشا هادي مع العيلة، لا تفوتكم.

Both lines say: today, the three best restaurants in Riyadh for a quiet family dinner. The MSA line fits a formal ad; the Saudi line fits TikTok. And the voice reading the Saudi line has to actually sound Saudi, or the words feel off.

04Generate the Arabic voice in Vocla and import it

This takes about two minutes and works with CapCut on mobile, desktop and web:

  1. 1Write the script in Vocla: open Text to speech and paste your clip's script.
  2. 2Pick the dialect: in the dialect picker choose Saudi, Emirati, Kuwaiti, Egyptian, Jordanian, Lebanese or MSA, then a voice from the Voice library.
  3. 3Set the pacing: short lines, commas and a [pause] tag before the key moment; nudge the speed if needed.
  4. 4Generate and download: click Generate voice, then Download and pick MP3, or WAV on paid plans.
  5. 5Import into CapCut: add the audio file to your project via import and place it under the video on the timeline.
  6. 6Add captions: use CapCut's auto captions, or render burned-in Arabic captions in Vocla.

05Write the voiceover to fit your CapCut edit

A good voice is half the job; the other half is making it sit on the edit. The most common problem with voices generated outside CapCut is one long audio file you then try to chop to match the shots. It's easier to write the script to the video's shape from the start.

Clip lengthApprox. wordsSuggested structure
15 seconds35 to 40Hook, one fact, follow prompt
30 seconds70 to 80Hook, three short points, close
60 seconds140 to 160Hook, short story, payoff, call to action
  • Generate each key line as its own file: drag each one under its shot in CapCut instead of cutting a long file.
  • Front-load the hook: the first two seconds decide whether viewers stay, so open with a question or a surprise.
  • Use pauses as cut points: a [pause] tag before each transition gives you a clean place to cut.
  • Balance levels in CapCut: if you add music, keep it well under the voice so the narration stays clear.

If you post regularly, save the voice and speed as a preset in Vocla so every clip sounds the same and followers recognise your channel from the first word. That consistent sound is hard to keep when an app's voice list changes from time to time.

06CapCut and Vocla side by side

These tools aren't really rivals; they complement each other. Here's what each brings for Arabic creators, based on what's published as of October 2026:
